The Chase Begins

What an incredible start we’re having! Numbers are high, we have just two weeks left with Coach Voth and Performance Course, and tomorrow we head into our 7th session with Z Mindset Wrestling Coach Tillman. Our JV girls are in week 6 of the 2Words Character Development series, while our Varsity leaders are in week 6 of the 2Words Captains Course. The work has already begun, and tomorrow we officially kick off the season.
We’ve pushed through the pain of getting back in shape physically—now the challenge shifts to building the mental toughness that wrestling demands. With a strong senior group leading the way and an equally powerful junior class behind them, our goals are set high.
Last year, we knew missing out on State Duals was part of the process. We understood losing key players at critical moments impacted would impact our scores and application for this year; but we owned it, and we’ve learned from it. That experience fuels our determination now.
The next 4 ½ months won’t be easy—the toughest part of wrestling is never the physical, it’s the mental. That’s exactly why we’ve invested so much into building the right mindset. With 16 new girls joining the lineup, our program is stronger and hungrier than ever.
We are ready. We are hungry. We have something to prove—not to anyone else, but to ourselves. Tomorrow’s the first official day of the season, and we couldn’t be more excited.
Let’s go, Lady Jaguars. It’s time to wrestle.
